WE ARE SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST A RING CHECK SCHEME...….

STANDARDISATION

Prior to harvest we arrange for the NIR equipment for all UKGTN full members to be standardised to the network sub-master, thus meaning we start harvest on a level playing field.

CALIBRATION MONITORING

During harvest the steering committee will monitor the accuracy and reliability of the calibrations against the reference method, thus ensuring maximum confidence in the results from your NIR equipment.

RING CHECKS

And yes, we do run ring checks as well. Currently we run these for barley, wheat, oats and oil seed rape.

We also run a ring check for erucic acid on oil seed rape and for mycotoxin in cereal samples.
